A delightful traditional sweet flatbread known for its rich and smooth filling, Vidarbha-Style Puran Poli is cherished during festivals like Holi, Diwali, and Padwa. The puran (sweet filling) is crafted with care using cooked chana dal blended with jaggery and sugar, flavored with aromatic cardamom (velchi) and nutmeg (jayfal). Wrapped in a soft dough of wheat flour or maida, each poli is roasted with ghee or oil for a golden finish and melt-in-the-mouth texture.

How It’s Made:
